Enrichment

As a Sixth Form learner we will challenge you as a young woman to create a vision for the future and to engage in life-long learning. You will be supported in analysing the options available to you and in taking responsibility for setting and achieving personal goals.

Your application to study will be demonstrated in the way you begin tasks promptly and how you persevere to overcome problems and obstacles which may prevent you from learning successfully.

You will be encouraged and provided with opportunities to share your gifts and knowledge with others, exemplified in the wide variety of clubs, sports, arts, international exchanges, exhibits of work, liturgies and particularly in the classroom where as students you will be directly, actively and creatively involved in your own learning.

You will learn to be self – critical, capable of assessing your own performance, leading to wise decision making both in your academic studies and personal life to bring about a balance in all the roles you undertake to ensure success.

To help you develop your skills and abilities you will be ably supported by your Director of Learning, form tutor, teachers and pastoral support manager who will guide you in making informed decisions, give you extra help with your studies and be a listening ear if there are problems which prevent you from achieving your personal best.

Sacred Heart High School Sixth Form will provide you with a wide range of opportunities to enable you to grow and develop as a leader of the future through:

  • The Sixth Form Social Committee where you can make a difference for others in the school and ensure there is a vibrant range of events for students throughout the year including organising the Sixth Form Leavers’ Ball
