Train to Teach at Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart High School is a National Teaching School and we coordinate the West London Teaching School Alliance (WLTSA) from the Teaching School Office in school. Part of our role is to manage the process of recruiting trainee teachers for 55 schools across London on WLTSA ‘School Direct’ PGCE & QTS programmes run in partnership with Mary’s University, Roehampton University and UCL (Institute of Education).
As part of this, Sacred Heart High School itself recruits trainee teachers every year in a variety of different subjects. For teacher training programmes starting in Sept 2018, Sacred Heart High School is recruiting for trainees in the following subjects: Chemistry; Design & Technology; Drama; English; Geography; History; Mathematics; Modern Languages (French & Spanish); Physics; Physical Education and Religious Education.
For details of all the WLTSA teacher training programmes (over 150 vacancies) including the ones at Sacred Heart High School, please go to the www.wltsa.org.uk (Initial Teacher Training tab) where you can find lists of primary and secondary vacancies.
