With a strong Sixth Form management team, our Sixth Form builds on the tradition of academic excellence for which the school is known. With a distinct identity of its own, the Sixth Form nonetheless represents an extension of the main school as students continue to benefit from strong pastoral support, based on the teachings of Madeleine Sophie Barat.
Students study a range of A Level subjects, as well as BTEC Business and the Extended Project Qualification. The vast majority of students progress to university, with many of them gaining places at Oxbridge, top Russell Group universities and leading medical schools. Students aspiring to top universities take part in our Oxbridge preparation classes, the Janet Stuart Programme and all students benefit from well-structured UCAS and careers support.
Sacred Heart students benefit from small class sizes, excellent teachers and dedicated tutors who consistently go above and beyond in order to aid students’ transition from GCSE to Sixth Form and help to prepare them for the university admissions process and life after school.
Our students make our Sixth Form. They take advantage of the many extra-curricular opportunities to enhance their experience and support their university applications, as well as creating opportunities for themselves. Students take part in Community Service; Duke of Edinburgh; pilgrimage to Lourdes; academic and music trips; exchange to other schools in the Sacred Heart network; as well as a range of social events.
