We aspire to produce seriously begun young women who are equipped with the qualities and experiences to become the leaders of tomorrow. Within our school you will act as a role model for others, reaffirming our Christian values through living out our Mission Statement, acting in service and love to others, treating everyone equally and with respect. You will work closely with your teachers and tutors to bring about change for others in an interdependent world.

As a Sixth Form Student you will have opportunities to:

  • Become actively involved in our worldwide network of Sacred Heart schools leading to our international exchange programme or our project in Mexico City building homes for disadvantaged people

  • Lead projects with younger members of the school to support their growth and development as collaborative learners

  • Take a stand against all that damages a community for example bullying, and be able to develop your skills as a mediator in conflict resolution

  • Develop and promote opportunities for celebrating individual and group success

  • Communicate all that we do to build our community in school and worldwide through our national and global Sacred Heart Links

  • Join the Sixth Form Social Committee where you can make a difference for others in the school and ensure there is a vibrant range of events for students throughout the year including organising the Sixth Form Leavers’ Ball

  • Share your gifts and knowledge with others through in the wide variety of clubs, sports, arts, international exchanges, exhibits of work, liturgies and particularly in the classroom where as students you will be directly, actively and creatively involved in your own learning.

  • Become a subject ambassador to support the learning taking place in a department

Those students who wish to formalise their leadership are invited to apply to join our Head Girl leadership team, become a House Captain to lead events throughout the school or train as a Peacemaker to support younger students in conflict resolution.
