CONSULTATION ON ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS 2023/24

Proposed changes to the admission arrangements for Sacred Heart High School Hammersmith – 2023/24

In accordance with the Guidance received, the Governing Board must consult with parents of children between the ages of two and eighteen, other persons in the relevant area who have an interest in the proposed arrangements, all other admission authorities within the relevant area, any adjoining neighbouring local authorities, and the Diocese of Westminster.

The following changes are proposed:

Year 7 Policy

  • Clarification about who is eligible for consideration as an applicant adopted from state care outside England.
  • Clarification about the Reserve list.

Sixth Form

  • To remove the detailed subject academic entry criteria from the School's Admissions Policy. In future, subject academic criteria will be published in the School's Curriculum Guide as part of the School annual prospectus.  In all cases, the criteria for internal and external candidates will be identical, as required by Para. 2.6 of the School Admissions Code 2021.
