High Performance Learning Ambassadors

Following three years as a High Performance Learning (HPL) World Class School, Sacred Heart High School was successful in achieving re-accreditation in June 2024 for a further three years.

What is High Performance Learning (HPL)?

High Performance Learning is an evidence-based educational philosophy developed by Professor Deborah Eyre. It is built on the premise that high academic achievement and personal success are attainable for every child, rather than just a select few. By drawing on neuroscience and psychology, HPL shifts the focus to deliberately cultivating 20 Advanced Cognitive Performance Characteristics (ACPs) (like meta-thinking, linking, and analysing) and 10 Values, Attitudes, and Attributes (VAAs) (like resilience, empathy, and collaborative confidence) in all students. 

An HPL World Class School accreditation is a prestigious, globally recognised award granted to leading educational institutions that have successfully integrated the HPL framework into their DNA. To achieve this level, a school must undergo a rigorous, multi-year evaluation
