Consultation on Admission Arrangements 2027-28
In accordance with paragraphs 1.45 - 1.48 of the School Admissions Code (2021), the Governing Board must consult with parents of children between the ages of two and eighteen, other persons in the relevant area who have an interest in the proposed arrangements, all other admission authorities within the relevant area, any adjoining neighbouring local authorities, and the Diocese of Westminster.
The following changes are proposed:
Year 7 Policy
-
The proposed change is to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN) from 198 to 165.
This proposed change is based on current application numbers across the local area and future demographic forecasts, which indicate that there is no longer a need for a PAN of 198. In addition, maintaining a PAN of 198 places the school above its optimal capacity. The current level of admissions has created pressure on the school’s infrastructure, leading to overcrowding and increasing the risk of accidents.
Reducing the PAN will help protect the unique character of the school, ensure that the learning environment remains safe, and allow us to maintain the high-quality education and pastoral care that we are committed to providing.
